Motors today announced that it has appointed Mary Barra Chairman of the Board,
expanding her role from CEO. According
to the news release, the board concluded it is in the best interest of the firm
to combine the roles of Chair and CEO “in order to drive the most efficient
execution of our plan and vision for the future.” At April Now, we view this as great news for
woman in business everywhere, and we look forward to watching Barra lead the
way in the incredibly competitive automotive industry.
