KLEINER PERKINS CAUFIELD AND BYERS HIT WITH SEXUAL HARASSMENT SUIT

KPCB investment partner Ellen Pao is alleging sexual harassment by former colleague Ajit Nazre, and subsequent gender discrimination and retaliation. And she has backup. And she’s naming names. High-profile ones. In fact this Tech Crunch piece leaves nothing of her complaint to the imagination, posting all of the 16 pages for the world to see.

Meanwhile, the legendary KPCB – armed with its notoriety for hiring and supporting women partners - plans to fight, tooth and nail, what they consider to be baseless allegations.

Big surprise, it’s not a cut and dry case. They never are. They’re messy, can culminate in serious backlash for the victim and - worst of all – no matter the outcome, they can compound issues for women entering these professional positions. We obviously lead a charge for females in the corporate industries and know it’s easy to say that this case is “so typical”…but we don’t know the full story yet. We do know that these suits don’t just come out of nowhere, and we’re anxiously awaiting the verdict.
