Today,
leading employment Lawyer Howard Levitt commented on the Jiam Ghomeshi case,
saying the CBC made the right decision in firing Mr. Ghomeshi. According to Levitt, whatever the outcome of
the criminal case, the CBC had “good grounds” to fire Ghomeshi, and that the
CBC could likely prove Ghomeshi’s behavior was antithetical to their brand and
that his continued employment was untenable.
At April Now, we fully support the CBC’s decision to fire Mr. Ghomeshi,
and support the strong signal the CBC sent to its female staff when it showed
Ghomeshi the door.
