SHOULD COMPANIES BE FORCED TO DISCLOSE PAY GAPS?

According to the WEC, UK companies will soon be forced to disclose pay gaps.   At April Now - we think this is a great idea.  Publish the gap, and arm us with the information we need to negotiate equal pay for equal work.   It's not always easy.  But having good data will sure help.  In some cases, we bet even the companies themselves don't realize how large and pervasive their gaps are.

NEWS FLASH: SOME CEOs DONT CARE ABOUT DIVERSITY OR YOUR CAREER

Boardlist surveyed 750 tech industry CEOs regarding board diversity and found disturbing results.  The survey showed it could take over 40 years to achieve a 50-50 gender split on corporate boards.  It also showed that over a third of tech industry CEO’s don’t care much about gender diversity, as they prefer to focus on what they call skill diversity.   At April Now encourages our readers to lobby for faster change NOW by asking for leadership postions, volunteering on local boards to gain experience, and posting your profile Boardlist.  The time for equality is now, not in 40 years.
