Wow.
Hewlett-Packard’s has fallen fast, and head honcho Meg Whitman says she needs 5
years to seriously turn things around.
HP’s been through
the ringer with a dwindled share price, sales drops, mounting debt, botched
management, blame games and brain drain since 1990 aka ‘the dawn of its
decline’. But all is not lost: leadership could be the real answer to the tech
giant’s resurgence. Good start, Meg, with the focus on innovation and
“preach(ing) frugality and humility”. We really want to see how she pulls this
off; and the fact that she believes this will be “one of the great comeback
stories in American business.”? Love the attitude!
