#Shocked. Look whoYahoo just named as their CEO: Marissa Mayer, aka veteran exec at its major
rival (see: Google). Her task to exponentially turn things around for the
unstable web portal is daunting, to say the least. But her engineering
background and innovative foresight make her a smart choice to take on the
mercurial world of the Internet. Slightly off-topic, though: wonder how
Google’s Larry Page took the news? You know, sharing the same title with
someone who never got a shot on his senior leadership team, and all….

YAHOO’S CEO: TECH’S NEW FEMALE POWER?
Marissa Mayer’s CV
has some serious muscle. Now she’s one of the youngest CEOs among the world’s
mega-companies; she’s officially reached the upper echelon of most powerful
women in her industry; and she’s already surpassed her contemporaries with a
coveted engineering background. Ironic enough, she won’t be entertaining a
‘women-in-tech’ dialogue anytime soon - probably to cool any notion that she’s here
to be saviour of womankind? Well, no ‘Saviour” title needed. But “Superwoman’?
Sure, why not!
